St. Paul Baptist Church, located in Montclair, NJ, serves a vibrant community. Over 2000 members have been assigned to the church roll, representing a cross section of ages and diversity. 

 

The history of St. Paul Baptist Church is the story of a people who have been blessed by God’s amazing grace, serving God’s people, and giving inspired wisdom and service to the community.  With their outstanding guidance and dedicated efforts, the name of Christ was lifted up throughout the Montclair community.

• 1906 to 1936: Reverend William Perry, Pastor E. E. Jackson, Pastor H. H. Waring, Pastor R. V. Peyton and Reverend A. O. Bell.

• 1937 to 1966: Reverend J.H. Billups

• 1966 to 1974: Reverend Calvin G. Sampson

• 1974 to 1977:Reverend D.C. Rice

• 1977 to 1989: Pastor Marvin A. McMickle

• 1989 to 2003: Rev. V. DuWayne Battle

• 2005 to 2010: Reverend Michael J. Cox

• 2010 to 2013:  Reverend Deborah Spivey (Interim Pastor)

• 2013 to Current: Reverend Dr. Bernadette Glover
